Bell received early playing time and was a starter in his debut season at Kennesaw State, making 24 tackles as a true freshman and helping the team reach the FCS playoffs. The next season, he played in 13 games, eight of which he started, and helped them finish third in overall defence in the country, registering 30 tackles, 5.0 sacks, and 9.0 TFLs.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the 2020 season was postponed to spring 2021, and he featured in four games with 11 stops, two tackles for loss, and a half-sack.
In 2021, Bell had 4.0 sacks and 6.0 TFLs, receiving second-team All-Big South Conference accolades. He returned for one more season in 2022, recording 34 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, and one interception in 11 games.
