Texas police are currently on the lookout for Kansas City Chiefs’ star wide receiver, Rashee Rice, after a car registered in his name was involved in a major car crash in Dallas.
The incident occurred in the northeast part of the city around 6:20 pm local time on Saturday, March 30. Police have confirmed that they are actively searching for the young NFL star.
Rashee Rice, who hails from Fort Worth, Texas, spent four years playing college football at Southern Methodist University in Dallas before being drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He quickly rose to prominence in the NFL, eventually winning a Super Bowl with the Chiefs.
While it remains unclear whether Rice was driving the vehicle or if anyone was injured in the crash, he has not been located or taken into custody as of Sunday morning. It is also uncertain if any charges will be filed in relation to the incident.
Given Rice’s ties to the city and the likelihood of him visiting family during the off-season, authorities believe he may still be in the area. However, efforts to locate him have so far proven unsuccessful.
During his successful 2023 season, Rice emerged as one of the Chiefs’ top receivers, amassing 79 receptions for 938 receiving yards and leading the team in touchdowns.
His contributions played a key role in the team’s Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers, where he made pivotal plays in both the regular season and post-season.
