Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly in talks for a potential negotiation ahead of the 2024-25 season.

However, fans seem to have mixed feelings about Zeke’s possible return to Dallas.

According to ESPN, both parties are interested in discussions, but no deal has been confirmed yet. Elliott, who played for the New England Patriots in the previous NFL season due to an injury to Rhamondre Stevenson, finished the 2023 season with 642 rushing yards and three touchdowns, along with 313 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The news of Elliott’s potential return to the Cowboys sparked a variety of reactions among loyal fans. Some expressed disappointment in his recent performance, while others questioned the decision to bring him back after letting him go two years ago.

One fan jokingly remarked, “Oh wow, he’s cooking like an Easter egg,” highlighting concerns about his declining productivity. Another fan criticized the organization, stating, “Cowboys let Zeke go because there was no tread on the tires. Now they want to bring him back? Nuts!”

Elliott, who was drafted by Dallas in 2016 as the fourth overall pick, has been a key player for the team, leading the league in rushing in two of his first three seasons. In his eight-year career, he has accumulated 8,904 rushing yards, 71 touchdowns, and 2,649 receiving yards with 14 touchdowns.

As negotiations continue between Elliott and the Cowboys, it remains to be seen whether a deal will be reached. Despite mixed reactions from fans, Zeke’s potential return could have a significant impact on the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
