Haason Reddick, the new pass rusher for the New York Jets, expressed his excitement about the official trade that brought him to the team.

In a recent press conference, Reddick mentioned that he is looking forward to the upcoming season and believes that people may not be prepared for what’s to come.

The 29-year-old player was granted permission to seek a trade this offseason by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite reaching 11 sacks last season and 16 in the previous campaign, Reddick found himself in a position where a departure became inevitable after the Eagles signed free agent Bryce Huff to a contract.

Reddick, who started in all 34 games he played in Philadelphia, expressed his confidence in his abilities, stating, “I believe I have a lot left in the tank. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be here.” He acknowledged the business side of the NFL and mentioned that tough decisions are sometimes necessary, even if they are not always favorable.

Having accumulated 58 career sacks, including four consecutive double-digit sack seasons, Reddick joins the Jets with high expectations. He emphasized the talented roster that the Jets possess and highlighted the team’s aggressive defensive style.

The Jets, who recorded 48 sacks last season, added Reddick to bolster their pass rush. With the departure of key players like Bryce Huff and Quinton Jefferson, Reddick’s presence is expected to make a significant impact.

The veteran player is also eager to mentor young talents on the team, such as Will McDonald IV, to help them reach their full potential.
