Kanas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is currently under investigation after a report of a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas over the weekend.
According to a statement from Rice’s lawyer, he is fully cooperating with authorities in the matter.
Dallas police confirmed that the accident involved two speeding cars, a Lamborghini and Corvette, which collided and caused a chain reaction with four other vehicles. The occupants of both vehicles fled the scene without providing assistance or their details, leaving two individuals with minor injuries at the scene and two others hospitalized with minor injuries as well.
The Dallas Morning News reported that one of the vehicles involved in the crash is believed to be registered or leased to Rice. In response to the incident, Rice’s attorney Royce West expressed Rice’s concern for those affected and assured that he would handle the situation responsibly.
Chiefs President Mark Donovan also addressed Rice’s alleged involvement in the accident, emphasizing the importance of gathering all the facts before jumping to conclusions. Donovan expressed gratitude that no serious injuries occurred in the crash and stated that the team will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
