Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has issued a statement taking full responsibility for his involvement in a multi-vehicle accident that took place on March 30 in Dallas.

Rice met with Dallas PD investigators to discuss the incident and expressed his willingness to cooperate with authorities.

In a statement posted on social media, Rice apologized to everyone impacted by the accident and assured that he would continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. This comes after his lawyer, Royce West, confirmed that Rice is cooperating with authorities following reports linking him to the crash.

According to the Dallas police’s preliminary investigation, the crash occurred when a Lamborghini and a Corvette, both speeding, lost control. The Lamborghini veered onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, triggering a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.

The occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene without offering assistance or providing their information. Two individuals received treatment for minor injuries at the scene, while two others were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Dallas Morning News reported that one of the vehicles involved in the crash is believed to be registered or leased to Rice.

The 23-year-old wide receiver, a second-round draft pick by the Chiefs in 2023, had an impressive rookie season with 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. Rice has expressed remorse for his involvement in the accident and pledged to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
