In a surprising turn of events, the Buffalo Bills traded star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.

However, this move didn’t come as a shock to everyone, as a resurfaced video shows Tom Brady warning Bills quarterback Josh Allen about such a scenario two years ago.

The video in question dates back to June 2022 when Brady and Aaron Rodgers teamed up against Allen and Patrick Mahomes in an all-quarterback edition of The Match. During the friendly competition, Brady, who was mic’d up, made a playful jab at Allen about a star player leaving Buffalo in the future.

“Davante left [Aaron], Tyreek left you, Patrick,” Brady teased on the golf course. “Josh, don’t worry, someone’s going to leave you too.”

Fast forward to the present, and it seems Brady’s words have come true. Allen and Diggs enjoyed a successful four-year partnership in Buffalo, with individual accolades overshadowing postseason success. Despite reaching the AFC championship game in 2020, the Bills failed to secure a Super Bowl appearance.

During his time with the Bills, Diggs received four Pro Bowl nods and consistently surpassed the 100-catch, 1,000-yard mark each season. Now, Allen will have to adjust to life without his trusted receiver, much like Rodgers and Mahomes did after losing their respective top wideouts.
