Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has been at the center of trade talks in recent days, but it seems like he will be staying in Cincinnati for the time being. In a recent interview, Higgins expressed his love for the city and his excitement for the upcoming season.

“I do anticipate it,” Higgins told WLWT at a youth football camp. “I’ve grown a love for Cincy that I didn’t think I would, but, you know, man, looking forward to it.”

The Bengals had placed the franchise tag on Higgins in February with hopes of working out a deal. However, by March, Higgins had requested a trade. Despite the initial uncertainty, Higgins now expects to remain with the Bengals for the 2024 season.

The 2023 season was a bit challenging for Higgins, with injuries causing him to miss a total of five games, including Week 10-12 due to a hamstring injury. Despite these setbacks, the 25-year-old receiver still managed to put up impressive numbers, with 42 receptions for 656 yards and five touchdowns. Over his four-year career with the Bengals, Higgins has accumulated 257 receptions for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Bengals EVP Katie Blackburn has also spoken about negotiations with Higgins and fellow receiver Ja’Marr Chase, emphasizing the front office’s commitment to finding a way to keep both players happy.
