Deion Sanders is making waves as the head coach of Colorado’s football program, working to turn the Buffaloes into a bowl-eligible team for the upcoming 2024 season.
The success of the team is heavily reliant on Sanders’ two sons, Shedeur and Shilo, as well as standout player Travis Hunter, who garnered Heisman Trophy buzz in 2023.
Looking ahead to their potential NFL careers, Sanders has provided a list of approved teams for his sons and Hunter to join, including the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons. It’s unclear what consequences there might be if the players choose a team not on the list, as league rules don’t typically allow for such restrictions.
Notably, five out of the six approved teams are ones that Sanders played for during his esteemed career as a cornerback and kick returner. While Shedeur is expected to be a first-round pick due to his talent and football acumen, Shilo has received less attention in draft conversations.
Meanwhile, Hunter’s dual-threat abilities as a wide receiver and cornerback could see him as a top-10 pick in 2025 if he stays healthy in the 2024 season.
