Trey Lance is a beast whenever he steps onto the pitch to play football. The American football star has made quite a name for himself since being drafted into the NFL.
Currently on the books of the San Francisco 49ers, the 22-year-old hasn’t disappointed at all after putting up some impressive performances for the side.
He is also a player who likes to reference God in whatever he does. Even while playing college football at North Dakota State, he never missed the opportunity to cite God for his progress.
“Football is not who I am, it’s what I do,” Lance said in an interview with Yahoo Sports in September 2020.
“I’m obviously going to put everything possible into it because that’s what I love to do. But at the end of the day, I think God put that in my plan to use it as my platform.”
It’s obvious he’s religious by nature and he doesn’t shy away from expressing his religious views or their impact on his life.
Is Trey Lance a Christian?
Yes, Trey Lance is a Christian. In fact, he is a devoted Christian and even led his local Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter while in high school.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback also has three crosses tattooed on his right shoulder, as well as “Romans 8:28” written on his chest. The verse reads: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
On his social media pages, he usually shares Bible quotations with his followers. Lance’s biggest and most visible tattoo can be found on his back and it reads: “Child of God”. He has also inked a lion on the left side of his back and a portrait of Jesus Christ on the right.
