As the NFL offseason continues with the transition from the draft to OTAs, some teams have been working tirelessly to improve their rosters for the upcoming season. Here is a list of five teams that have made significant strides to improve their offense this offseason.
The Buffalo Bills have strengthened their offensive line by adding three new guards, O’Cyrus Torrence, David Quessenberry, and Connor McGovern. They also added RB Damien Harris and TE Dalton Kincaid to their already potent passing attack. Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles has built around quarterback Justin Fields, adding OG Nate Davis, OT Darnell Wright, and WR D.J. Moore to the roster. The Las Vegas Raiders have found a new starting and backup QB in Jimmy Garoppolo and Aidan O’Connell respectively. They have also added TE Michael Mayer, TE Austin Hooper, and TE O.J. Howard, giving Garoppolo a strong complement of weapons.
The New York Giants have added RB Eric Gray, RB Matt Breida, and TE Darren Waller, providing depth and a top-tier target for QB Daniel Jones. The New York Jets have acquired Aaron Rodgers, adding WRs Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Mecole Hardman, as well as C Joe Tippmann and OT Carter Warren to best protect their new MVP quarterback.
It remains to be seen how these teams will fare in the upcoming season, but these offseason moves suggest that they are positioning themselves for success.
