Buffalo Bills’ edge rusher, Von Miller, could be sidelined for the beginning of the NFL season after undergoing knee surgery.

Due to Miller’s age and the possibility of his slow recovery, experts suggest placing him on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list for at least four games.

The Buffalo Bills’ defense felt Miller’s absence last season, with a significant difference in the performance of opponents. While Miller remains one of the most impactful edge rushers in the NFL, his missed games could hinder his chances of rising up the NFL career sack leaders’ board.

He currently ranks 19th all-time, with an opportunity to surpass several players, including Dwight Freeney, Derrick Thomas, and Rickey Jackson.

Miller’s missed time could also affect Buffalo’s position in the AFC East as Miami Dolphins and New York Jets both pose significant threats.

With the NFL season approaching, the Bills’ decision to place Miller on the PUP list shows the team’s long-term thinking, hoping to ensure Miller’s health for a playoff push.
