The Dallas Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice following a serious bodily injury crash that occurred on March 30.
Rice, 23, is facing eight counts, including aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.
The incident involved a Lamborghini driven by Rice, a Corvette driven by Theodore Knox, 21, and four other vehicles, leaving four people with minor injuries.
Both Rice and Knox have been issued arrest warrants and are not currently in custody. The NFL has been monitoring the situation closely, as Rice, who was drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, helped lead the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win.
After the crash, Rice took to his Instagram story to take full responsibility for his role in the incident.
Rice, who went to high school in Texas and played college football at SMU, was leasing the Lamborghini and owns the Corvette involved in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, and the passengers in the vehicles will not face charges.
