Two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan has officially announced his retirement from professional football after an impressive 11-season career. The 33-year-old made the announcement on social media, thanking his family, friends, teammates, and fans for their support throughout his journey.
Ryan, a product of Rutgers, was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. During his time in Foxborough, he played a key role in the team’s two Super Bowl victories, showcasing his defensive skills with 13 interceptions and 41 passes defended.
In 2017, Ryan signed a lucrative deal with the Tennessee Titans, where he made a lasting impact by making a crucial interception against former teammate Tom Brady in the 2019 Wild Card Round. This interception not only helped the Titans secure a playoff win but also marked the end of Brady’s tenure with the Patriots.
Following his time with the Titans, Ryan went on to play for the New York Giants and joined Brady once again in Tampa Bay in 2022. He later joined the San Francisco 49ers, where he played eight games, including the Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Throughout his career, Ryan accumulated 19 interceptions, 98 passes defended, 15 forced fumbles, 13 sacks, and 755 total tackles.
