Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is looking to expand his role on the football field by adding special teams to his repertoire.

Cowboys special teams coordinator John Fassel revealed on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast that Parsons has expressed interest in becoming a kickoff returner.

Fassel shared that Parsons has lobbied him to be the primary kickoff returner, but Fassel made it clear that it would be too risky to put the star pass rusher in that position due to the potential for injury. However, Fassel did mention a scenario where Parsons could potentially be used as a second returner in a crucial game situation.

While it seems unlikely that Parsons will get his wish to be a kick returner in the near future, Cowboys fans can rest assured that their star player’s talents will be focused on his primary role on the field.

Despite Parsons’ eagerness to take on additional responsibilities, the team’s coaching staff is prioritizing his health and safety above all else.
