The Philadelphia Eagles may have their sights set on top running back prospect Bijan Robinson in the upcoming NFL draft, but star wide receiver A.J. Brown has another name in mind: his former teammate, Derrick Henry.
Although there has been no indication that Henry is on the trade block, the Titans’ recent roster overhaul and disappointing 2022 season could make the veteran running back expendable.
The Eagles, in need of a running back after Miles Sanders departed for the Carolina Panthers, could be a good fit for Henry to bring their offense together.
Wearing No. 22, which is currently available in Philadelphia following Marcus Epps’ departure in free agency, Henry would be a valuable addition to an already-loaded Eagles roster.
Brown, who was traded to the Eagles by the Titans last year for a first-round pick, has expressed interest in bringing his former teammate to Philadelphia.
Although it may not cost a first-round pick this time around, it remains to be seen if the Titans are willing to part ways with the two-time rushing champion.
However, with the draft just around the corner and the Eagles still in need of a top-tier running back, the possibility of acquiring Henry could be an intriguing option for the team to consider.
