The Las Vegas Raiders have made a big move by signing interior offensive lineman Cody Whitehair, formerly of the Chicago Bears. Whitehair, who was drafted by the Bears in 2016, has spent his entire career with the team on Lake Michigan.

The deal for Whitehair is reportedly worth around $3 million, pending a physical examination. The 31-year-old, 6’3″ and 316-pound lineman has played in 124 games over his career, starting in 118 of them. Last season, he appeared in all 17 Bears games and started in 11 of them.

The Raiders officially announced the signing of Whitehair, who brings a wealth of experience and talent to their offensive line. Whitehair has played a variety of positions, including center, left guard, and right guard during his time with the Bears.

General Manager Tom Telesco spoke earlier this year about the process of building a roster, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the head coach. The Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, set to take place in April 2024.
