On April 10, the legendary NFL player OJ Simpson passed away at the age of 76.

While he had a successful career in football, he is most famously known for the highly publicized trial and controversial verdict in the murder case involving his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman back in 1994. This incident has overshadowed much of his legacy.

One of the most memorable moments in OJ Simpson’s life was the slow-speed chase across Los Angeles following the murders of Brown and Goldman. This event was broadcast nationally and has become a significant moment in pop culture.

Simpson infamously tried to flee the crime scene in a 1993 white Ford Bronco, which belonged to his friend Al Cowlings. Following Simpson’s passing, the current owners of the iconic vehicle, including Michael Gilbert, Simpson’s former agent, and two friends of Cowlings, are looking to sell it for at least $1.5 million. They planned to put it up for sale on the 30th anniversary of the chase.

After Cowlings sold the Bronco to Gilbert in 1995, the car remained stored in a garage in Los Angeles for 17 years before being moved to the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. It was later loaned to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, where it was included in an exhibit on the infamous murder trial.
