Patrick Mahomes is once again making headlines, but this time it’s not for his stellar performance on the football field. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback recently shared a video of his 1-year-old son, Bronze Mahomes, displaying some impressive basketball skills in their home.

In the video, Bronze can be seen lining up a “three-pointer” as his proud father cheers him on. The toddler’s shot was so smooth that even Patrick Mahomes couldn’t contain his excitement, exclaiming “Oh! Three!” in celebration. Despite his young age, Bronze seemed unfazed by the attention, immediately going for the rebound as his dad continued to hype him up.

It seems that athletic talent runs in the Mahomes family. Bronze Mahomes is the third in line of his name, following in the footsteps of his father, Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, and grandfather, Patrick Lavon Mahomes Sr, also known as Pat Mahomes. While Pat Mahomes carved out a successful career as an MLB pitcher with a blazing 100 mph fastball, Patrick Mahomes has made a name for himself as one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, leading the Chiefs to three Super Bowl appearances in the past five years.

But the athletic genes don’t stop there. Bronze’s mother, Brittany Mahomes, also comes from a sports background, excelling as a soccer player in college and even playing professionally in Iceland. She has since transitioned into a career as a personal fitness trainer and co-owner of the NWSL franchise Kansas City Current.

With such a formidable pedigree, it’s no surprise that Patrick Mahomes is excited about his son’s budding talent. Could Bronze Mahomes be the next big sports star to carry on the family legacy?
