American football star Trey Lance may be young but he’s certainly one of the most highly-rated players in the National Football League (NFL).

At 22, he still has his prime years ahead of him after rising through college, where he was clearly too good for the competition.

In his debut season with the San Francisco 49ers, Lance said he was relishing the challenge in the NFL and wasn’t fazed by being fouled.

“I feel like when I’m getting down and guys are just falling on top of me. It’s not like they can really hit me,” he said.

“Guys coming from the side aren’t really hits on your body. I don’t think I took too many shots. I’m sure I’ll see how I feel tomorrow, but a lot of them were just pushing me down after throws.”

Indeed, Lance’s rise from a rookie to a starter over Jimmy Garoppolo typifies his determination and zeal.
