American football quarterback Trey Lance has managed to catch the attention of many fans despite just recently kickstarting his career in the NFL.

The 22-year-old secured a dream move to the San Francisco 49ers in 2021, where he was a second-string quarterback behind Jimmy Garoppolo. However, he has become a starter in 2022 and hasn’t looked back since.

One thing about Lance’s personality is that he is very humble: he rarely gets on the bad side of anyone and approaches every obstacle as they come.

When he was not named among the 49ers’ six team captains ahead of the season, Lance brushed it off and said those who got the nod deserved it.

“Obviously that’s a goal of mine but I don’t think you can look at any six of those guys and say ‘this guy’s a bozo,’” he said.

“All have played football at a very high level. Situations are different. I’m excited. I voted for every single one of those guys so I think each and every one of them deserves it.”

As impressive as his professional career has been so far, Lance started doing well way back in school.
