Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, kicked off the year 2024 with a bang by clinching victory in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

However, just a month later, he’s facing backlash due to viral photos of his body surfacing online. Kelce, who faced criticism for a heated exchange with head coach Andy Reid after winning the final NFL game of the season, has decided to indulge in food and rest during the off-season.

Photos from Kelce’s vacation in the Bahamas with singer Taylor Swift revealed that the football star has put on some weight.

Despite the scrutiny, Kelce defended his physique by joking on a podcast with his brother, Jason, saying, “It’s March! We’re in the same weight class right now!”

According to Jason Kelce, who recently retired from the NFL, Travis now weighs 283lbs compared to his listed weight of 250lbs on the Chiefs‘ website.

Reports suggest that Taylor Swift isn’t bothered by Kelce’s weight gain and actually loves it. An insider told The Daily Mail, “She loves it. Travis and his dad bod is the reward he is giving himself for having an epic Super Bowl-winning season.”

While some may view Kelce’s weight gain as excessive, it is important to note that the average weight for an NFL tight end is 248 lbs.

This means that Kelce, even at 283lbs, is only slightly heavier than most players in his position when he is in peak physical condition.

As Kelce enjoys his well-deserved break during the off-season, fans can expect him to get back in shape before the next NFL season kicks off in September.
