William Stephen Belichick is an American professional football coach who is the head coach and general manager of the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

American football coach Bill Belichick’s house is near Boston in Hingham, Massachusetts, on the South Shore of Massachusetts Bay. He also owns a $10 million compound of six places in the town of Siasconset on the island of Nantucket. He began accumulating the Nantucket property in 1979.

Bill Belichick’s net worth is $60 million. His current salary is not public, though he is believed to be the highest-paid head coach in the NFL and earns approximately $12 million per season. His last known contract extension was signed sometime before 2013.

Belichick was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1952 and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. His father, Steve, was an assistant coach for the United States Naval Academy’s football team. Bill learned about coaching by being around the Navy coaches as a child.

He attended Wesleyan University, where he played football and lacrosse. He began his coaching career with the Baltimore Colts in 1975 and briefly joined the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos organizations before beginning a successful 12-year stint with the New York Giants.
